Back-run — the defenders take ten honors (defender's view)

'Me' at the bottom is the viewpoint player; P2–P5 are the other four seats.
Setup

Mighty Basics Replay. This game is from a defender's view: a back-run. Trump (giruda) is ♣, contract 13, P2 is the declarer, and P5, holding ♦A, is the Friend. Mighty is ♠A, and the Joker call is ♠3. Watch the three defenders pass the lead along, one card at a time, and gather ten honors. Pay special attention to when my ♣K and ♦Q are used.
Trick 1

The declarer led a low ♦2, and the Friend took it with ♦A and was revealed. Here my partner P3 played the ♠10, revealing a diamond void. That information is used in trick 6.
Trick 2

The Friend made a Joker call with the ♠3. The Joker lost its power, and my partner P3's ♠K took the trick.
Trick 3

My partner P3 led a low ♠6 — a Mighty hunt. The declarer had to play the Mighty, spending it to cover a trick the Friend was already winning.
Trick 4

The declarer started a trump drain with the ♣A. With the Mighty and the Joker gone, trumps are now the strongest cards, and the top one is my ♣K.
Trick 5

The declarer continued the drain with the ♣8. My partner raised with the ♣J, and P4 loaded the ♥10. Playing last, I covered with the ♣K and swept 3 points for the defenders.
Trick 6

Holding the lead, I led the ♦6. It's leading into my partner P3's diamond void, to set up a ruff. P3 ruffed the declarer's ♦K with their last trump.
Trick 7

P3 led the ♠9, and the declarer ruffed with the ♣9. In effect, we made the declarer spend a trump on a pointless trick.
Trick 8

The declarer led the ♦10. P4 loaded the ♥J, and playing last, I won with the ♦Q — 4 points! With the ♦K ruffed away, my ♦Q had become the boss. Here the defenders reached ten honors, and the back-run was sealed.
Trick 9

My ♦8 was ruffed by the declarer. The declarer held only trumps, so whatever we led, the declarer would take it.
Trick 10

Last came the declarer's ♣Q. The remaining honors followed, for a final score of 10:10.
Result

10:10 — a defenders' win and a back-run. The declarer, who bid 13, stopped at 10 points. Defenders don't need to dominate the game; reading each other's voids and bosses and passing the lead along is enough to win.
